May Workshop at Blue Fountain Farm

I am so pleased to be doing a workshop in Grass Valley, CA this year. My dear friend Lesley Deutsch has offered to host us at her gorgeous Blue Fountain Farm, for the May 6-8 weekend. I first met Lesley a few years back when she and two other friends from Grass Valley ventured out to Santa Fe, NM for one of my equine photography workshops. Now, several workshops and several years later, she has become a passionate and talented photographer and a fast friend.

Her 40 acre farm is absolutely beautiful and we will be so lucky to have the opportunity to photograph in such a gorgeous place. Blue Fountain Farm is in the middle of horse and wine country in sunny California.

She has thirty-five horses on the property, dressage and jumping arenas, picnic areas, hiking trails, gardens, pastures and stalls, lots of animals and wildlife, even a farmer's market...all overlooking a scenic vineyard. We will be spending most of our time here on the farm, but Lesley has arranged other locations for us photograph.

Lesley is not only a talented equine photographer, but a rather accomplished competition jumper and trainer. She teaches riding lessons, boards horses and is passionate about horse ownership education. All while managing a 40 acre farm! She also hosts the Saddle Pals Therapuetic Riding Program at Blue Fountain.

Getting to photograph horses anywhere is such a pleasure, but to be able to do so with a host who is so passionate about horses and photography...well, that is a true honor.

Extra special thanks to Lesley for letting me share her photographs with you!
